Mortal Danger & the Infinity Symbol Scavenger Hunt

So, there’s this intriguing book by Miss Ann Aguirre entitled Mortal Danger. I got to know about this book on twitter, as usual and specifically on @FierceReads. I haven’t read anything from Ms. Anne (yet) but I will definitely read this book of hers.

In honor of the release of her first YA gorgeous book Mortal Danger (August 5, 2014), she’s doing the best scavenger hunt ever.

The task: To find random infinity symbols and spread the word about her book. Isn’t it fun though?
What’s at stake?  Laptop or a trip to meet Ms. Ann Aguirre on tour!!! (And other rad prizes)

Yay, so let’s go for the Laptop yes? (or meeting Ms. Anne if possible)

Synopsis:

"Revenge is a dish best served cold."

"Edie Kramer has a score to settle with the beautiful people at Blackbriar Academy. Their cruelty drove her to the brink of despair, and four months ago, she couldn’t imagine being strong enough to face her senior year. But thanks to a Faustian compact with the enigmatic Kian, she has the power to make the bullies pay. She’s not supposed to think about Kian once the deal is done, but devastating pain burns behind his unearthly beauty, and he’s impossible to forget.
In one short summer, her entire life changes, and she sweeps through Blackbriar, prepped to take the beautiful people down from the inside. A whisper here, a look there, and suddenly… bad things are happening. It’s a heady rush, seeing her tormentors get what they deserve, but things that seem too good to be true usually are, and soon, the pranks and payback turns from delicious to deadly. Edie is alone in a world teeming with secrets and fiends lurking in the shadows. In this murky morass of devil’s bargains, she isn’t sure who—or what–she can trust. Not even her own mind…"

So, here I made my own Mortal Danger art. Yep,I drew am infinity symbol while I was having class on Calculus lol. And anyway as you can see, I drew infinity symbols inside an infinity symbol. I wish Ms. Anne will like my humble art though.

And here are other infinity symbols I scavenged for the Big Mortal Danger Contest:

Contest is open for everyone and now it’s your time to find your symbols spread the word and get a chance to win! Good luck to me and to you x

Book Bloger Test

Book Bloger Test

So this is long due. I've had this post drafted last June (but wasn't able to publish it because my laptop broke) so I post it now. :3

What are your top three book hates?

I really am choosy and perfectionist When it comes to books. Why just three? I could write a thousand. But here are the top three,

  • Spine creases
I abhor books with spine creases They look deranged.
  • Book cover folded edges
It really is a no-no to me. I will not buy a book with folded or damaged book cover edges.
  • Highlighting text and markings on pages
The book will look dirty to me. Just picture it like a person with a skin disease or something.

Describe your perfect reading spot.

Perfect reading spot? Hmmm. Of course it's my book nook! Kidding. I still do not have a book nook like Marie Lu but I will soon. Right now I think my perfect reading spot is everywhere as long as there is a book I'm reading. But on top of my list is a comfy warm bed.

Tell us three book confessions.

  • I get all the three formats of the books I love. (Book, eBook and audiobook)
  • Most of the time I get to read the ebooks first before I buy the physical copy in our local bookstore crappy Because you literally have to wait for a month or something to have them on stock.
  • I read everywhere with everything. Like when I'm at school or traveling on the bus I read with my phone, when I'm at home I read with my computer or read the physical copy, I read what I fee like reading whenever and wherever I want to.

When was the last time you cried while reading a book?

Last month? Reading Say What You Will by Cammie McGovern and City of Heavenly Fire by Cassie Clare.

What is you're favorite snack while you're reading?

At home I eat popcorn. And sweets, chocolate, ice cream (yeah I read while reading even ice cream on the bed), mallows, anything sweet. They take away the painful feels you know.

Name three books you would recommend to everyone.

  • Angelfall by Susan Ee (I do not know if I really want to recommend this or not) I do because it's a perfect, gorgeous post-apocalyptic book that would really engross you and I just cannot explain it. At the same time I do not want to because I do not like it to get mainstream and everything.
  • Say What You Will by Cammie McGovern
  • Night of Cake and Puppets by Laini Taylor
Show us a picture of your bookshelf/bookcase.

Write how much book Means to you in three words.

"Live for books" Live, not love. Existing for books.

What is your biggest secret reading?

I don't have any. I'm very open about books and my reading life.
